Dough and Grains is a new Singapore bakery concept that infuses traditional chinese herbs into bread. We are the first in Singapore and is in the Singapore book of records. Our product is not only both creative and innovative but also very healthy as these Chinese Herbs will nourish the body. In addition, our product do not have transfat and as much as possible low in sugar and sodium content. This is in line with the government initiative to provide a healthy lifestyle (i.e. healthy eating) for Singaporeans. Beside chinese herbs, we also combine the use of health benefit ingredients such as Walnut, Almond, Apricot, Green Tea, Lychee and etc.
We are also have pastries that is meant for the sweet tooth but yet low in sugar and egg yolk, for example our Osmanthus Cake (remove toxins from body and improves overall lung health and moisturising skin) or Chinese Yam tart (Chinese yam “huai shan” is used to treat disorders related to the stomach, spleen, lungs and kidneys.
In order to address a more general crowd, we also produce tarts and cakes that is a hot seller. These cakes are made from fresh ingredients and as much as possible we will make our own fillings from raw materials. Hence we are able to control sweetness, use natural ingredients and no preservatives. For example we steam our own yam and mashed into paste or roast our own sesame seed and grind to paste form. We even use the good quality ingredients i.e. Belgian chocolate, California macadamia, Turkey Figs and fresh fruits as we believe in quality and not cutting corners to make huge profits.
